Gardening Group emerged as a partnership between St. Mary’s parish and Circle of Friends, a local non-profit that supports individuals who have transitioned out of homelessness get integrated into the broader community and develop meaningful relationships.
Gardening Group meets once a week during the growing season, and although tending to our garden is our main activity, the main goal of the group is to provide an opportunity for parishioners and members of our downtown community to develop meaningful relationships and to create a sense of belonging in the downtown core. Many of us are total novices, so no experience necessary!
