This emergency food hamper program is available for those in our parish boundaries once a month. Clients may call, 226-988-5915 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon to book and appointment and pick up a hamper on Tuesday or Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
This lay organization of dedicated men and women reach out and help the poor and needy within our community. Members give out food hampers on Tuesday and Saturday mornings each week. Meetings are held once a month.
SVdeP, St Mary’s Conference is in constant need of nonperishable food item and toiletry donations to supplement local Food Bank provisions for the food hampers our parish distributes. To replenish our cupboards when Food Bank provisions fall short of the growing demand, your food and toiletry donations can be placed in the basket marked SVdeP outside the doors to the Lower Hall or dropped off at the parish office. Grocery store gift cards, for perishable items for our clients, continue to be funded from generous monthly monetary donations. All donations are greatly appreciated and distributed with great care. Currently, we are in need of canned food (meat, fish, pasta, soup, vegetables and fruit); as well as, toiletries (bar soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant) and toilet paper.
